October 15, 2026. Amazon announced Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse, two devices that turn conversations into notes and recaps. For US shoppers, the big question is cost. Frontier was reported at $74.99 and Eclipse at $99.99. Bee Pro adds a reported $11.99 a month. Frontier was reported available at launch; Amazon listed Eclipse as coming soon, with no confirmed ship date. Ask participants for permission before recording their conversations.

What Happened

Frontier is a wearable you can use as a wristband or clip-on pin. Amazon says it has two microphones, a record button, an indicator light, USB-C charging, and IP67 water resistance. Amazon claims up to seven days of battery life.

Eclipse is about the size of a credit card and attaches to the back of a compatible phone with a magnet. Amazon claims more than 21 days of battery life. The magnet alone doesn’t tell us which phones it supports.

Both devices reportedly include conversation summaries, recaps, and 14 days of memory without Bee Pro. That’s worth checking before you add a monthly fee to the hardware price (AI gadget bills can get confusing fast).

On Windows

Bee Pro includes a desktop app. Bee’s official desktop page offers Mac and Windows downloads and confirms that the app is included with Bee Pro. Check the Windows listing’s system requirements for your PC.

For Android

Bee’s Eclipse product page says ‘App available on iOS and Android,’ describes the device as MagSafe compatible, and lists an included metal ring accessory. Bee links its Bee AI Android app on Google Play. An Android app listing does not establish compatibility with every Android handset. Check your phone’s fit and app requirements before ordering.

On the Web

Amazon’s public announcement gives the US launch pricing and announced availability. Check the current product listing for stock and ordering details. The cited sources don’t confirm a separate web app requirement.

How It Stacks Up

These are US hardware prices reported at Bee’s launch, so they don’t tell you the full cost. TechCrunch’s October 15, 2026 launch report lists these prices for competing AI note-taking devices:

DeviceUS hardware price in October 15 reportAvailability in cited launch coverage
Bee Frontier$74.99Reported available October 15
Bee Eclipse$99.99Coming soon; no verified shipping date
Pocket AI$129Not established here
Plaud Note$159Not established here
Plaud Note Pro$189Not established here

The table compares reported hardware prices only; it does not compare subscriptions, taxes, bundles, or current stock.

Bee’s lower entry prices look good, but the monthly plan can change the math. The reported free plan includes summaries, recaps, and 14 days of memory. Bee Pro reportedly costs $11.99 per month. Amazon says new Bee customers receive 30 days of Bee Pro free. Check the current checkout terms for renewal and taxes. Bee Pro adds unlimited conversation summaries, suggested to-dos, daily memories, a personal chat assistant, conversation templates, third-party integrations, a desktop app, and Alexa+ and Amazon.com integration. Check the desktop app’s system requirements before installing it.

Check Amazon’s current US prices and full plan terms before you buy. The cited sources don’t give matching subscription costs or accuracy test results for the other devices.

Privacy matters here, too. Bee’s privacy explanation says it transcribes audio in real time and discards it without saving. It also says transcripts are encrypted using keys that only your device creates and controls. Users can delete transcripts and summaries. So even if the audio is gone, those written records may still be there. Bee’s privacy page links a Trail of Bits security assessment of Bee Private Compute, dated September 9, 2026. This article includes no hands-on battery or transcription testing.

What to Check Before Buying

For shoppers comparing the two devices, the practical questions are what the hardware includes, which features require Bee Pro, and whether Eclipse supports their phone when it becomes available. Amazon’s announcement establishes the launch terms; it is not an independent evaluation of real-world performance. Amazon also says Bee prompts users to gain permission from call participants each time recording starts. Obtain participants’ consent and check the recording rules that apply where you are; don’t treat the indicator light as permission.

Our Take

Verdict: If you want a wearable conversation recorder, Frontier is worth a look at its reported $74.99 US price. If you want Eclipse on your phone, wait for a confirmed ship date and a list of supported phones. Either way, see whether the included summaries and 14-day memory are enough before adding a reported $11.99 a month for Bee Pro.

Wrapping Up

Bee’s reported hardware prices are lower than those of the devices listed above, but a monthly plan can change the bill. Check Amazon’s current US prices and Bee Pro terms before buying. Treat these as launch claims, and read Bee’s privacy documentation before recording conversations.
