Ian Buckley

Ian is a British technology writer, maker, and musician living in Berlin, Germany. Obsessed with getting "under the hood" of everything he comes into contact with, you can find him scouring the internet for new and exciting ways to make our lives easier – and more enjoyable – with technology.

Ian Buckley is a writer, maker, and musician from the UK. Over the past five years, he's been writing and teaching about technology and music online, covering everything from creating radio equipment out of scrap, to beginners' tutorials on machine learning and home automation systems.

Ian has been an in-house copywriter for Ableton, a Senior Writer for MakeUseOf.com, and hosts the weekly Electromaker Show on YouTube.

Before moving into writing, Ian juggled both professional music and standup comedy careers alongside film-making and editing. He was the producer and editor of Für Den Fame, a set of irreverent comedy sketches broadcast on the German television network Tele 5. He was the host of the renowned Adorable Creatures standup comedy night in Berlin and has toured Germany as an English language standup comedian.
