So with any of the above mentioned plug-ins/programs I’d be able to tell if someone simply copied and pasted an article of mine into their blog?

Because I’m pretty darn sure this has happened to me. I’m new at blogging so I hope to get a response here.

First off, very good list. Some great plugins here including all of my favorites. I do have a few more you might want to add.

First, Registered Commons Plugin: http://www.registeredcommons.org/news/163/0/7877 as an alternative to the Numly plugin.

Second, WP-Ban: http://lesterchan.net/wordpress/readme/wp-ban.html An alternative way to ban scrapers.

Finally, the FeedBurner WordPress plugin: http://blogs.feedburner.com/feedburner/archives/2007/05/feedburner_adopts_twoyearold_r.php to prevent scraping of the original feed and take advantage of FB’s “Uncommon Uses” feature if desired.
