I disabled this annoying message in Window XP a long time ago, but I want to know if it’ll be back in Windows 7? I plan to get a new Windows 7 PC and wasn’t sure if they still have this annoying security alert system? Thanks

Thank you so much for this information! That message has been appearing on my desktop since I bought my computer 4 years ago! It never really bothered me till recently though.

I have a third party firewall program, so I turn off the one in Windows. However, it won’t detect that program! Annoying!

On my pc it seems that I have a virus! There are windows popping up all the time with Security Center alerts and lots of things I don’t understand! I also have adult videos that pop up on my screen randomly when I am not doing anything. What can I do?

This is one of the most informative web sites I’ve seen yet! It’s got sooo much GREAT INFORMATION on it – I’ve set up a Favorites Folder where I can create different Files for each of the sites that either interest me or that I need for future use.
Somebody did a really good job at putting this together!

Andrew your computer has spyware installed on your system and it’s trying to get you to download a program.

You need to run spybot search and destroy or adaware to clean it up.

I tried to use your steps to remove the pop up ‘ your computer is infected’ BUT when i tried to click on RECOMMENDATION it sent me to the google page with the TIP that ‘antivirus 2009 is needed to up date my secutity center’. Each time I tried to used REcommendation it sent me to that google page. What do be now. Thank andrew

Displaying notifications is all that security center does. The user might as well disable the service.
