Using the reg cmd option I was able to access the editor from with in a corp environment. Thanks! This will save me a ton of time either having logoff and on or rebooting.

First step worked for me, only took two days with my infected laptop and no other computer to research to find this but thank you! Now I can edit my registry.

To get the administrator account for this action, follow these steps..
1.Open notepad
2.Type the following:
command.com
3:Save it as Cmd.Bat
4:Open it
5:Type in the following:
Net user Administrator *
6:Type a new password when it asks you and confirm it.
7:Do the Group policy Editor thingy

I’m with the fat-bastard on this one – tried everything and nothing works – all disabled by Administrator.

vbs file won’t start, method 2 as above doesn’t work – need some help – damned viruses!!!

I have a seriou,serious problem.
I have no task manager,no regedit,no run.nothing and none of the above tips can help me.
I manager to open regedit using mpam4_regedit_XP.exe but everytime I delete norun no taskmanager they get right bac there.
If I use EnableTM.reg,it say Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator.
the same with the vbs and everything else I’ve tried
