Dear ,
i have installed the network printer and configured over few systems but after some time the user is unable to print untill the pc restarted, before the restarting when i ping the printer it can be ping properly. but can’t print.
can you suggest?

I have shared a printer installed on winXP and now installing the printer in Win7 in another computer through network. It access the shared printer but fails to install.

wow the tips were marvelous! i managed to install my network printer.One down fall though after the whole process i sent the test page but i get an “error printing ” notification. Secondly do i need to run the printer cd incase the printer is a 4 in 1 ie printer, scanner, fax, copier? Later i tried running the software to use it as a scanner and on the printers and faxes i got a second printer added. assist

You guys are absolutely amazing it worked on the first try flawlessly.

and HP was insisting that you had to do it thier way with that huge instalation file.

Well I can honestly say that your way was much simpler and better hands down.

A network printer has a few advantages such as saving space, saving money, and only needing to have one printer for the whole network. However, the disadvantage is that you have to wait if there is a large print job going on, which is not a big deal in homes.
