Great article. I’ll pass this info to our web masters to be sure to refer to it when we have loaded our printers and network inventory and we are providing customers related helpful information and advice.

A quick question though: what of an older non- ip addressed printer that is connected to a specific computer on the network? We have tried to use “share this printer” method on a Windows 2003 Server which is one of the test servers for our store’s inventory management. However all the other nodes on the network somehow do not see the shared printer yet. Any insight? Thanks.

I just wanted the creators of this article to know that this tutorial was absolutely AMAZING!! I was able to network my printer to the three laptops that my wife and I use and have them printing wirelessly in less than 15 minutes!! I had no idea that it was this easy. Thank you for offering this free advice when others are charging an excessive premium for such information!!

I’m using windows vista & an IBM Network 17 with an ibm 10 baseT/10Base2 ethernet card. I followed your istructions to the letter & cannot get an output. I have the unit plugged into my laptop to establish a solid connection befor trying to use it with the wireless router. Any suggestions. Mike

If I have other wired or wireless computers on this network, do I apply this same procedure on them to make this network printer avialable to them?
