Windows Vista Features – Windows Mobility Center

I just read a post off iStartedSomething which enlightened me to the fact that Vista has some pretty cool little upgrades that’s going to make it a lot more fun to work with. For instance, take Windows Mobility Center. It’s job is nothing more than combining a few of the most used settings for a mobile laptop and making it very easy to change those settings.
The Windows Mobility Center consists of one tile per setting in one centralized dialog! You can change the display brightness, mute your sound, change your power profile, connect to another network, rotate your screen, connect to or disconnect from an external display, sync with your iPod or PDA, and share your desktop ALL from ONE place! That’s great!! It’s so much easier than having 10 items sitting in your taskbar or having to go to Control Panel each and every time you wanted to change something!
The Windows Mobility Center applet can be found in the Control Panel. You can also drag and drop it into your Quick Launch bar so that you can easily start it without having to leave your main desktop. Open it, change the setting you want, and simply close it! Hola! Good job Microsoft!
