Hmmm it’s nice not to get the annoying messages, however, once you disable UAC, you then get security pop ups that UAC is not enabled! Also, once you disable UAC, you don’t get any anti-virus alerts and other important security issues. Is there a registry setting where you can disable the notification that UAC is not enabled?

The UAC window pops up and then asks me for a password. What if I don’t know the password? Thanks.

I just ran accros another nice free program that will also help quiet or turn off the UAC and the annoying confirmations – called Wincleaner UAC Switch. Just google it and try it out.

Love this hack. easy to do but the top result when i searched google wasn’t even related to M$. I had to disable this so i could run Americas army. Since the UAC scans each file you open. Imagine the wait you get when trying to open a 3 gig file.
