Try out Windows Vista Business and Enterprise editions in a virtual lab

Windows Vista Test Drive is a completely free way to test out the Windows Vista operating system without having to install it on your PC. You can actually experience the full operating system through your web browser using Microsoft’s Virtual Labs technology. You can either explore the Vista operating system yourself or follow along with the instructor led videos and exercises.
Currently, the test drive is for Windows Vista Business and Enterprise editions, but if you just want to get a feel for how the operating system looks and feels, it doesn’t really matter which edition it is. Once on the site, click Get Started and type in your email address.
Click on one of the features to test drive it in Vista. You can either click View Video or Test Drive to load the virtual environment.

By default for the Business Edition, the main topics are Safe, Efficient, Connected and Collaborative. Under each section are the various sub-topics, such as Better Protection from Malware, Schedule Automatic Backups, etc. It may take a few minutes for the virtual environment to load, so be patient. Of course, it would be best to have a broadband connection when running the virtual labs.

Now you’re running Windows Vista right from your browser! Cool or what? It’s also a great way to learn how to do things with Vista and not mess up your own computer at the same time.
