I've seen Larry's name on few different websites or blogs regarding this issue... LOL. I just thought it was funny.

Anyhow, my question is, do I need virtual memory on every one of my drives? I have 3 drives and I just recently got a 1TB and it took up 24 gb. I know I have a lot of space, but to give 24 gb just for virtual memory is a lot. The 1TB is just a storage drive for me to keep files and maybe some programs. So, do I need pagefile.sys on all 3 drives or just the primary drive with the OS? I'm running Vista 64.

Thanks.

In the large majority of situations a system managed pagefile will be optimum, or as close as to make no difference. Unless you have a very specific need, and you understand what you are doing, these settings are best left at default. This article does not provide nearly enough information to do that intelligently.

Note: The authors description of virtual memory and the pagefile is very simplistic and should not be taken literally. It is MUCH more complex than that.
