While the Window 7 requirements mimic Vista's, it does not seem to run the processor as hard. For comparison's sake I created two virtual machines, one with Vista Business 32-bit, and one with Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. With only 512 MB of RAM for each virtual machine, Vista ran poorly for menial tasks, such as opening folders and running Internet Explorer; but Windows 7 seemed to handle them just fine. Certainly not the most in-depth study, but it gave me a baseline reading, if you will.

Great post it gives me a general feel for Windows 7, but does it still consume too much processor and ram?
