Windows 7: Just open Control Panel and type s in the search box…you get the same interface.

Just like Pipo said there is no GodMode or anything like that. If you search the registry for this string “{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}” you will find it is a globally unique identifier, or guid and when you name a folder with a guild Windows will launch whatever is listed in the registry for that guide. In this case the control panel.

If you wanted to you can make more like one for the recycle bin and call it whatever you like, just copy this string without the quotes “Put Unique Name Here.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}”

this is no secret mood or nothing.

This is no godmode !

1st) You can call it anything at all
2nd) Is was present in Vista also.
3rd) It will make all 64bit OS’s crash & stop starting.

Hmmm, the God Mode works on my 64-bit Windows 7 machine just fine. Note that this will not work on Windows XP or Vista, it’s only a Windows 7 hack.

Tried this in XP, but it does not work. I guess that the numeric code in the brackets refers to a specific address within the Windows 7 registry. Am wondering if there is a “God Mode” for XP???

Works fine on my 32 bit Vista Business machine as well. Very handy to have it all in one place. Reportedly it does NOT work on 64 bit version of the OS.
