Enhance Faces in Your iPhone Photos the Easy Way

When we take photos of people in a professional capacity, we are almost always asked to make small facial adjustments, like whitening a subject’s teeth and softening the skin to hide wrinkles and blemishes. Such edits are commonplace throughout professional photography, but nearly impossible to make from a mobile device.

For quick facial enhancements from iPhone, the free Vicman Visage Lab app allows even those with no photo-editing experience to fix blemishes and other common imperfections in just one click.

First, choose a photo to enhance. You can choose one from your gallery, or take a new one with your camera.

Within a a few seconds, your corrected photo appears on your screen. Instantly, your subject looks younger and fresher. You can compare the retouched photo to the original by clicking the thumbnail in the left corner.

If you decide your photo does not need all of the enhancements applied by default, click the Face enhance button and uncheck the edits you want to remove.

For an added touch, you can apply effects, like turning your photo to black and white by clicking the Effects button. Some effects are only available in the Pro version of the software, but can be bought through an in-app purchase.

When finished, click the double arrows at the top of the screen to save and share your photo.

Our test photos looked softer after using Visage Lab. Our subject did look younger. We wish there was a way to control the intensity of each photo fix, but overall, this is a good one-step photo enhancer to have when you do not have the luxury of photo editing software. For iPhone users who routinely photograph vain subjects, this is a must-download.
