Clip2Net - Share files, folders and screenshots easily
Posted on April 2, 2008 at 5:09 am
Is there a file or folder that you want to quickly share with someone or with a couple of people? Maybe it’s too large to attach to an email or maybe you want to send an entire folder, but you don’t know how to zip it up? Or what if you need a screenshot or video capture of your desktop to send to colleagues?
Currently if you wanted to share a screenshot of an area on your desktop, you’d have to use a screen capture program like SnagIt and then save it to your computer locally and then either email it to everyone via attachment or upload it to some other file sharing service.

Posted on April 1, 2008 at 5:51 am
You may have not heard the big news, but the Google Docs is now rolling out offline editing access to word processing documents over the next few weeks. This is exciting as it’s going to be the first Google web service to use the Google Gears API since Google Reader.
Basically, Google Gears is an open source platform with a Javascript API that allows web applications to work offline. Google first used Google Gears to allow users to keep up to date with their RSS feeds even while working offline. After installing Google Gears in Google Reader, a small green icon appears at the top right. This means you are online.
