How to rename multiple files at once in Windows

Earlier, I had written a post on how to batch rename many files using a free piece of software called ReNamer, which works really well if you have a ton of digital photos all named DSC000001, etc. You can also use a program called Stamp to rename digital photos so that they are sorted chronologically. However, I recently learned that you can batch rename files in Windows without any software if you like!

5 Killer MS Word Formatting Tips

1. Use Themes. For folks who want to focus on the look and feel before the actual content of their Word document, themes are best for this purpose. It sets the format of the fonts from the header to the bullets as well as the background graphic and colors. Using themes also save you time from making your own color combination. To use themes, click the Format menu and then Theme:

Google Chrome - A new Internet web browser

If you haven’t already heard, Google is releasing their new open-source web browser, called Chrome, in beta today! Apparently, they wanted to keep it under the radar, but several Google developers released a “comic book” introducing all of the new features of Google Chrome a little early. You can view the comic book yourself to read all of the details.
This is great news for us, but bad news for competitors like Microsoft and Mozilla. The browser war has been heating up lately with the release of Firefox 3, Internet Explorer 8, and now Google Chrome. So will Chrome steal any market share or will it be another Cuil?

1. Using Control-H (hold control then type H) shows the current profile’s browsing history. The tab should appear on the left part of your browser:
The history panel has many use but the best would be to recover a forgotten URL you visited a few days ago.
