I use the 2003 version of Word and occasionally have corrupt file issues, particularly with embedded equations and figures from ‘print screen’ and paste operations.

My corrupt files have always opened with all the figures using the 2007 version of Word. Once opened, save as a 2003 .doc file type. It will then open without issues using the 2003 version. Additionally, the file size gets reduced drastically. 10 minutes ago, I just fixed a corrupt 9 Meg file this way that is now 300 k!

Finally a program that actually works! It was able to repair my Word doc stored on my floppy disk! Yes I still use floppy disks!!! I’ll be upgrading soon, but thanks a lot in the meantime!

thanks a lot for this help! I was really worried as my Word document was corrupted just after completion of my assignment. At first i was thinking to re-do but then i saw the method here and applied. It worked. I am really grateful!
