Removing picture backgrounds for an image has always been a challenging task for casual users. Traditionally we need a good picture editing software like Photoshop and use its magnetic Lasso tool to select the portion of the image that we want to retain. Het verwijderen van achtergronden foto voor een afbeelding is altijd een uitdagende taak voor casual gebruikers. Oudsher hebben we een goed beeld editing software zoals Photoshop en het gebruik van haar magnetische Lasso tool en selecteer het deel van het beeld dat we willen behouden.

In the technical preview of the incoming MS Office 2010, there is built-in capability to remove the background of an image so that the subject of the portrait will be the only thing remaining. In de technische preview van de inkomende MS Office 2010, er is ingebouwd in het vermogen om de achtergrond van een afbeelding, zodat het onderwerp van het portret is de enige overgebleven.

First open your favorite Office application like word or PowerPoint. In PowerPoint or Word you can use the Insert menu to insert a picture to your document. Click the image inside the document to select it. Klik op de afbeelding in het document om het te selecteren.

Click the Picture Tools button on the top right part of the window. Klik op de foto's knop in de rechterbovenhoek van het venster.

Click the background removal button: Klik op de achtergrond verwijderen knop:

Wait for a few seconds. The picture will appear with the background highlighted with a saturated color. Wacht enkele seconden. Het beeld wordt weergegeven met de achtergrond gemarkeerd met een verzadigde kleur.

Click anything outside the picture. Klik iets buiten het beeld. The image is now without a background! Het beeld is nu zonder een achtergrond!

The feature is not that perfect, the end result came out with some parts of the penguins omitted (maybe considered as part of the background image by the program). De functie is niet zo perfect is, het eindresultaat kwam met sommige delen van de pinguïns weggelaten (misschien beschouwd als onderdeel van de achtergrondafbeelding van het programma).

It wasn't able to distinguish the back of the neck of the penguin on the left from the background clouds. Het was niet in staat een onderscheid te maken tussen de achterkant van de nek van de pinguïn aan de linkerzijde van de achtergrond wolken.

This new capability from Office 2010 is great for quick and dirty background removal tasks. Maybe the accuracy will improve as it nears the release date, but for now, it seems ok enough for casual Office users. I'm sure for images with a distinctive background and subject contrast, the program will not have a hard time distinguishing the background from the subject. Deze nieuwe mogelijkheden van Office 2010 is ideaal voor snel en vuile achtergrond verwijderen taken. Misschien is de nauwkeurigheid zal verbeteren als hij nadert de release datum, maar voor nu lijkt het goed genoeg voor casual Office gebruikers. Ik ben er zeker van dat voor beelden met een onderscheidend achtergrond en het onderwerp staat tegenover dat het programma niet zal beschikken over een harde tijd onderscheidende de achtergrond van het onderwerp.
