This is not a very good idea at all! After I disabled RSS feeds in Outlook, it stopped crashing and ran a hundred times faster. It’s a bloated feature and you should use something else like Google Reader, etc.

Thanks for this helpful post. I didn’t know there’s a plugin available for Outlook and I can read RSS feeds inside outlook. I will definitely check it out.

Newsgator Inbox is also a good option to consider for reading RSS in Outlook versions earlier than 2007.

This is good software, but problem for me is that Outlook in my company does not allow internet access.
