Or you can just use Google Docs, which is supported by Google and is way better! And yes, the Office 2010 Starter Editions will be free! And there is Office Live Workspace, which will be the online versions of Office.

This will be pretty obsolete soon as Microsof is planning to release Office 2010 Starter Editions. This includes Word and Excel and will basically be free! They will be supported with ads shown inside the interface.
