Chinese Add-In to revert Office 2007 Ribbon Interface to Classic Menu

If you’re not liking the new “ribbon” interface in Office 2007 and you already read my post here about how you can add another tab to your toolbar that gives you tips and guides on using the new interface, then you might be one of those people who simply want to go back to the original class menu in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.

Well thanks to a Chinese company called AddinTools, you can now use their software to convert your ribbon interface into the meny style of Office 2003. The interface retains the Windows Vista look and feel, it simply put all the items into a drop down list rather than across the top like the ribbon interface. Here’s a screenshot:

All of the new menu items that come with Office 2007 will still be in the classic menus also, so you don’t have to worry about losing any new options! And if you computer uses another language, that’s ok too because the add-in supports all languages supported by Office 2007.

It’s free for 15 days, then you have to buy it for $29! Kinda hefty, but I guess for someone who really hates the new interface, then it might be worth it. Personally, I like the new ribbon interface and find it much more convienent than clicking through menus! What does anyone else think?
