Delete Internet Explorer Browsing History!

I run a small little computer consulting company on the side and it’s so funny how many people ask me about erasing their browsing history!!! So I figured I’ll keep charging the local people for this info since they call me up, but I’ll write out how to make sure your wife never catches you looking at porn for the rest of the internet crowd!!! I personally do not look at porn, but I do think that most guys love their wives and want to be with them even though they look at porn, it’s just some uncontrollable urge some men have to need to look. So for you guys, here’s how to make sure you get all the porn off your computer and save your marriage!

First thing, you’ll need some tools, the good ol Internet Explorer by itself is ok at the job, but doens’t do it ALL OUT. And thankfully, these tools are free (probably written by other IT guys who look at porn) and so you don’t have to spend any money either.

First tool is SandBoxie. http://www.sandboxie.com/. Go and download a copy of it. You can read on the front page how it works…basically it’s software virtualization, which basically means nothing is ever written onto the hard drive, but is simply kept in temporary memory and deleted after you finish browsing. This software will also help you starve off spyware and viruses that you’ll most likely catch from a porn site because those pieces of software will not be able to access the operating system directly.

Once the software is installed follow this guide on how to run IE “Sandboxed”.

Basically, you are running Internet Explorer in a secure mode and any changes made, web sites visited, files downloaded, etc will all be deleted when you delete the sandbox. You would delete the sandbox by right-clicking on the sandbox icon in the tray manager and clicking on Contents of Sandbox and choosing “Delete all Sandboxes”. This will wipe out everything to the state before you went porn surfing!

Next thing though to be doubly sure is to download a software called CCleaner. http://www.ccleaner.com/. This program deletes all internet explorer temporary history files incuding cookies, cache files, URL history, and autocomplete form history. It also performs some other actions that help your computer run faster, but mostly it will clear out anything to do with browsing history.

With these two tools, you can be sure that your unfaithful porn surfing will not result in the loss of your beloved! Unless of course you are stupid enough to try and do it while she is sleeping!!!

P.S. DO NOT install Google Desktop because it captures ALL of your browsing history, which can easily be reviewed with a click of a button! Or if you want to use it, make sure you turn it off before you go surfing, and then turn it back on afterwards you’ve run these two tools.
