Share links and web sites with Google Shared Stuff

Google released a new web app called Google Shared Stuff that aims to do something very similar to del.icio.us, reddit and other link sharing sites. Basically, the service allows to your share links via a bookmarklet that you drag onto your toolbar.
It’s pretty simple to use and the service is obviously in "beta" considering there’s really not much too it at this point. Visit a page, click on the bookmarklet and a popup window appears where you can then share the link with others. You also have the option of including a thumbnail image of the web site or an article preview. You can email the link to others or you have the option of sharing it on other sites including Reddit, Digg, Furl, del.icio.us and FaceBook. However, any external site will result in a second popup window.
You can also add a comment to your link or add tags. Sharing a link via the Share option will post it to your My Shared Stuff page, which will then be visible to everyone. People will then be able to search through your list of links by performing a normal search, by clicking on the tags, or by filtering domains.
The service also includes an RSS feed of the links that you share, so that you can easily post your list to a blog or web site. It also integrates heavily into GMail and other Google services. For example, it integrates with your GMail contacts so that when you go to your Shared Stuff Homepage, you’ll also see all of the shared stuff for your contacts! This could be useful or annoying as hell!
You can also view the most popular shared stuff overall or by domain. The service is a little in the sense that it more than a few seconds for the popup window to appear after being clicked. There are already many sites out there that do a better job, it’s just that this is more integrated with other Google products. Maybe in the next release we may see some more useful features.
Google already has a service called Google Bookmarks, but this might be an eventual replacement as the company tries to create it’s own social network. Post a comment on whether you like the new service or not!

I like GMailThis! better due to it’s utter simplicity. It actually opens GMail in a compose state. What I really like is that when I send a link to friends, when they reply, it’s an actual conversation.
With Google’s Share mechanism, each individual gets a separate email, and I in turn get sent a copy of an email that I sent to each individual. This results in multiple emails for me, and my recipients cannot converse\see eachother’s name’s in the To: field. There’s also a bug: I cannot type group names, which really bites.
