Google has officially released a new blog for all things photo-related called the Google a officiellement lancé un nouveau blog pour toutes les choses liées à la photo appelée Official Google Photos Blog Blog officiel Google Photos ! According to it’s tag line, it’s going to contain news, tips, and tricks from the Picasa team at Google! Conformément à son slogan, il va contenir des actualités, des conseils et astuces de l'équipe Picasa chez Google! That sounds exciting to me! Cela me semble passionnant!

I’m an avid user of Google’s Picasa Photos application and I really enjoy using Picasa Web Albums since the two products are so well integrated. Je suis un fervent utilisateur de Google Picasa Photos application et j'ai vraiment plaisir à utiliser les albums Web Picasa depuis que les deux produits sont très bien intégrés. I had thought about using Flickr at one point, but I didn’t like the face that there was no easy way to upload pictures from my computer and that I couldn’t browse the photos quickly and easily while offline. Personally, I think this is great because even though Picasa is a great desktop photo application, the Web Albums app has been quite neglected. Personnellement, je pense que c'est un plaisir car même si Picasa est une application photo grand bureau, les albums Web application a été très négligé. The interface definitely needs to be updated with some cool AJAX features and there needs to be a way to create nested albums! L'interface vraiment besoin d'être mis à jour avec quelques fonctionnalités AJAX refroidir et il convient de trouver un moyen de créer des albums imbriqués! I currently have well over 300 albums and it takes an entire minute to load the My Photos page because ALL 300 albums are shown at once! J'ai présentement plus de 300 albums et elle prend toute une minute pour charger la page, car Mes photos TOUS 300 albums sont montré à la fois! That just seems silly to me. Il semble ridicule que pour moi.

It would also be cool if the community and sharing features of the web albums were updated. Il serait aussi sympa si la communauté et le partage des caractéristiques de l'album web ont été mis à jour. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if something new starts to happen with this great product that has so much potential! Je suppose que nous devrons attendre de voir si quelque chose de nouveau commence à se produire avec ce grand produit qui a tellement de potentiel!

I guess I really like the desktop application and having the ability to view the photos on my computer easily when offline. Also in Picasa, you can easily see which pictures have been uploaded already, whereas with Flickr, once you upload a folder of pictures and add more pictures to that folder later, you’ll have to go to the web site and check which ones you already (at least I think).
