Thanks for guiding us how to export the bookmarks! I was having lots of bookmarks as my pc has been infected with virus, now i can easily format it and retain all the bookmarks.

Thank you very much for your information on export Chrome bookmarks. Now they have the ability to sync bookmarks for free in Chrome 4!

The ways told here and maybe I didn’t read them all, but all you have to do is copy the file from one to the other pc takes like 5 seconds. For Chrome I don’t have the other one but it’s in the C:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\bookmarks

I’ve used google chrome since April this year…but recently I cannot open it…don’t know why at all…right now just wanna get back my bookmarks then I’ll reinstall the latest version of chrome. and I followed the link above…there is no user name folder under Documents and Setting…how I can find my bookmarks?? Thanks!!

To import/export bookmarks from/to browsers (IE, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome) or files (HTML, XML, URL), I use a LinkCollector PC from http://www.vscsoftware.com

You can do this in Chrome as far as I can tell

Goto Chrome
Ctrl-Shift-B to bring up the Bookmarks Manager
Select Tools
Select Export Bookmarks

Saves it as a html file

i’d not trust any 3p freeware for copying bookmarks, copying a file is the best way

Hey guys ! Good news ! you have to try it to believe it; there is a freeware called transmute that transfers all your bookmarks from any browser to any browser (major browsers)in one click. here is the website where you can download the freeware: http://www.gettransmute.com/

Updated today to support the latest Chrome builds as well as Chromium (default profile). Just in case, I made it so that it will still work with old installs of Chrome (starred table).
