Create your own Google Maps easily with online tools

I wrote a post a couple of days back on how you can use the new Google MyMaps feature to create your own interesting and fun maps to share with friends or family. But if you’re not into doing things all by yourself, then you can take the assistance of CommunityWalk.com or Platial.com that basically walk you through creating your own map and take care of publising it for you.
For example, at CommunityWalk, you type in your city and state and you’ll be started off with a wizard to get you on your way!
Choose whether you want it published for everyone, shareable with only certain people, or private just for you. Then you have tabs across the top to build the map and share the map. You can either search for a place to add a marker or you can click anywhere on the map and a popup will appear where you can enter in the Basic informtaion, address, and details including pictures, etc.
You can do the same thing in Platial, but you have to signup first. The nice thing about these sites is that your map is listed and hence you’ll get a lot of random people visiting your maps rather than creating your own in Google MyMaps and sending it to a few friends. You can also explore the other maps created by people all around the world.
