Poder, se puede – si uno es un poquito masoquista… Hay una solución compatible, gratis y que encima ocupa menos espacio: OpenOffice.org – pruebe con eso y verá.

(Sorry – the question was whether Word, Excel and PowerPoint could be used; I answered that in principle, sure it once can – unless you appreciate money, space and effective compatibility, in which case OpenOffice.Org is the more reasonable answer.)

tengo una pregunta con el Eee pc 701 se puede trabajar word, excel y power point, porque solo quiero trabajar con estos 3 programas y si con la nueva Eee se pueden trabajar, agradezco mucho que me resolviera la duda, gracias

Ulysses mentions the MSI Wind, which I agree is a great little machine also, but I recently found out about a new Dell sub-notebook that will be a real killer, hopefully by the time I have to head back to the UK in September they will be on sale. I’ve been a big fan of Dell for years, my spare laptop is one of their cheap Inspiron models, and it has been abused so much and still works perfectly. I’ve carried it Half way around the world in a backpack, it’s travelled over 5000km strapped to the back of a motorcycle and it’s spent hundreds of hours working in extreme heat, a very good laptop.

My problem with the HP mini note is that it has a standard HDD, which means you still have to treat it gently. The EEE PC with it’s shock resistant SSD storage is far more forgiving. My current EEE PC 701 gets thrown into my bag, without a protective case, the bag gets dropped, strapped to the back of my motorcycle and generally treated quite roughly, the EEE PC withstands all of this.

have you tried the hp2133 mini note? i think it’s far better than the Eee PC.

In truth it’s suitable for anybody who needs a cheap and portable sub-notebook.

The Linux version has a very simple interface and is easy to use, even for people who have very little PC experience.

I’ve just look over a post on a PC magazine,there was an advertisement regard of this.
it’s said that the E PC was very suit for the people who were studying in the Middle school.
