Toonlet – Create a comic for free

Growing up as a child, you’ve probably seen various comic strips in the Sunday paper. One of the most familiar comic strips consisted of Garfield and his many adventures with John. Although most individuals don’t have the natural talent required to make these entertaining tools, there are still plenty of other ways you can get your fix.

Toonlet is a free web service that lets you create your very own interesting comic strips. Within a few minutes, you’ll have a laughable comic strip to share with all of your friends. Just register for a free account to get started. You’ll need to enter some basic information about yourself and a valid email address.

Also, be sure to check out my previous posts about PikiStrips, another free service to create your own comics and BeFunky, a cool service that lets you create cartoon characters from your pictures

A confirmation link will then be sent to your registered email address. You can quickly log into your newly created account and start letting your fun side show. The first required step is to make your own personal character. Choose the best character pack listed among the available options. You’ll have access to multiple customizations to create the perfect star for your comic strip.

Make your comic strip fancier by adding various characters and a longer story line. This will help to capture the interests of your potential readers. Toonlet takes the hard work out of creating a funny comic strip filled with funny antics. You won’t have to take a professional art class to produce a worthwhile comic strip.

Once you’ve completely finished the building stages of your characters, start making a comic strip for them. Type the dialogue for each one into one of the available blank boxes. You can have an entire comic strip with one central character or a large group of them. Once you’re satisfied with all of your new changes, click the “Make Comic” button.

View the finished product to decide if it’s perfect or if it needs a few changes. There are several things that can be done with your comic strip. Share it with friends and family members, embed it into a website, or print it to distribute to others. No matter what method you choose, just have fun sharing it with everyone.

Toonlet is free to use and only takes a few minutes to get up and running. There’s no necessary software to install because everything is web based. The interface is simple to understand and navigate through. Instead of spending hours trying to master the art of drawing, take the easy way out. Use the Toonlet service as a shortcut to your creative side.
