Try to change SMTP port to 587 if you can only receive email, but cannot send, from Outlook.

Odd. I am using Ypops on Outlook express 6. I can receive email from my yahoo account but am getting several errors when I send. The errors are below. I’ve followed the instructions and changed my Yahoo setting to Yahoo Asia. Any ideas?

The server does not support an SSL connection. Account: ‘plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com’, Server: ‘plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com’, Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: ’250 8BITMIME’, Port: 587, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 250, Error Number: 0x800CCC7D

ive tried to do everything…same prob…i already have ypops on the system..still cant access free yahoomail on my outlook 2003…

h3n7a1: Just tried it and there was no “POP & forwarding” option. Perhaps Yahoo closed this backdoor.

I have configured my yahoo mail in outlook express. But when I open yahoo mail, I noticed that all messages are downloaded in outlook. Is there a way to get my messages back in yahoo???

it’s still working greatly tested on 28.april.2010.
- 1st go to Yahoo! Account info
- then scroll down and find “Account Setting”,
- then click on “Set language, site, time zone”, new page will opened
- on “Regional Site and Language:” select “Yahoo! Asia”
- click on [Save] and accept the Term & condition

Now, go to your yahoo!Mail..
- click on “options’ and the option page will shown.
- now, you can see the “POP & forwarding” option
- click on it, and then click on “setup or edit POP & Forwarding” on the right..
- in the new page, enable the “Web & POP Access [POP Settings]“, and click on [SAVE]

Your done..
you can now access your yahoo account by pop.mail.yahoo.com

After succeed the POP setting,
You can change the regional setting back to Yahoo!US or other regional as you like..
the POP setting will remain available..

ypops don’t work anymore… Asia don’t work any more in fact i haven’t found a way to get free pop3 access using yahoo i just switched to Gmail & Live Mail. They BOTH offer free Pop3 Access. Yahoo Sucks id rather use it but until i find away around it i guess their competitors will have my business. if someone does figure out a way please email me @ Saiurie@live.com id appreciate it, thanks a lot, Saiurie De’Loncrent

I noticed that on my iPhone, I can enter my Yahoo credentials and get access to my Yahoo! email, so what does the iPhone do that I can’t do in Outlook?

I have microsoft outlook express 6 and I can’t seem to set up my yahoo pop3 forwarding. The directions given above do not follow the exact setup/wizard for my outlook express. when trying to set up the account it does not offer the same options as the above directions state. SOMEONE HELP!!!
