As soon as I read your post, I downloaded the program and like Philip's comment above, I could not run the services test without it shutting down the program. Unlike him I was not able to use the manual tune-up option (it also shut down the program) but it did appear to work with the automatic tune-up although I have not seen any real improvement.

For several months I have had an odd problem with my Dell Vista laptop. It would seem to boot fairly quickly, but programs would run ridiculously slowly, and some would not open at all. Often the wireless adapter could not be found. Then after about 8 minutes, the HD would burst into action, and after 2-3 minutes of thrashing, everything would be up and running normally. IE sluggishly compared with my XP machine.

Installed this program, used the wizard, and now my computer boots up completely in 137 seconds, and basic operations are as sprightly as my XP machine. It is truly like getting a new machine. Thanks for posting this! They also have a great program which collects all the maintenance functions in one place, also freeware.

I installed this program including the required Microsoft .NET 3.5 framework, prior as instructed. The Services Test function would not work and was shut down on my vista home premium computer, also runing norton internet security suite 2007. However the Manual Tuneup mode did function and has reduced my memory use significantly.
