View Webpage HTML Source Code without a Web Browser

It’s not called the World Wide Web for nothing. The Internet is so extensive and inclusive you can find almost anything you searched for. All sorts of information, knowledge-database, articles, and contents are found online.
The main medium that presents all this data to the user is the webpage. This is a document that can be opened and read using web browsers, such as Windows Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
Webpages are written in pure HTML code and tags. You can view the source code of a webpage using a web browser. To do this, right-click a page, and hit View Source (in Internet Explorer) or View Page Source (in Firefox) to see the lines of HTML tags.
The only hitch to this method is that you have to visit and load the website first before the right-click command will work — not to mention you still have to use a browser.
If you want to directly view the HTML source code (minus opening the website and browser), you can use the WinHtmlDump software. This program can load a webpage’s HTML tags within seconds. You’ll just have to enter the web address and WinHtmlDump will display the source code for you.
The executable file itself does not need any installation. It’s so lightweight at only 14.5kb.
You can download this application at
http://patrice-zwenger.co.cc/my_programs.html#P6.
The exe file is zipped. Tick Open with and press OK to continue.
When the download is complete, your default de-compressor program will open the recently downloaded file. All you have to do now is extract or unzip it.
To run the software, double-click WinHtmlDump.exe.
This is the software’s main interface.
To generate a webpage’s HTML codes, enter its web address or URL to the box provided.
Next, click the HtmlDump button.
The result will be displayed below the Web Address box. The code generation will just take approximately three seconds to complete — fast and easy.
By default, Line Numbers is enabled. You can uncheck this option if you don’t want the result to have line numbers.
You can switch the encoding format to UTC-7 or UTC-8.
One useful purpose of this program is when you only want to get the integrated images or PHP codes of a webpage. This way, if a particular webpage has several photos, you can directly obtain what you want without having to wait for the entire page to load.
Another helpful function of WinHtmlDump is related to website security. If you want to verify the reliability or safeness of a certain page, you can use this software to check if it contains hidden and malicious HTML tags just like the one below.
