Hi
I just found this program and so far its perfect apart from 1 thing: I want to be able to set up accounts for my kids that allow then an 1 hour on the computer and then log them off. It does that great but then they just log back on for another hour ;(
Is there any way (or other program) that it will let me log them off after a specified time and then not allow then to log back on for another specified time?
Hope that makes scene.
Thank for any help

Please help me find the toolbar section in the FEATURES tab form the item #7 blog. I need to user Steady State with domain profiles and need to turn off the "third party software" switch.
Thanks

In order to enable the add-ons, just take the check off of the “third party software” section under the toolbar
section in the FEATURES tab. It should work after that.

Hi George, Thanks for the advice. It took me a while, but I did finally figure it out. Kinda obvious, once I put 2&2 together & achieved the result I was after.

I've set WSS up ok, but for one problem;

The IE ADD On functions are all disabled. How do I enable them. I've tried with the user (limited) account locked & unlocked, but I am still unable to get the AddOns enabled. I don't see any options in WSS which applies to this function.
Some help would be appreciated.

Hi Ryan, good question, it's not silly at all. If you have the Disk Protection feature on, this means that Windows will not allow any changes to the system files on the C drive, so you should create the new user profiles on a separate partition, such as D, E, etc.

Now if you only have one local drive, C, that's also ok, simply create a new folder at the root of your C drive called Users or something similar and create the accounts there.

Let me know if this makes sense. Thanks.

Hello,

Quote: 'First, you would want to click Add a New User to create a new shared user profile. For the User Location, choose the C drive unless you have Windows Disk Protection on. I’ll explain why later.'

Im sorry if this seems like a silly question, but if i do want the Protection on, where do i save the new user profile to?

Thanks,
