Find and remove spyware using Spybot

Spybot is a free anti spyware utility from http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html. The program scans, cleans, and protects your computer from spyware attacks.  If your computer is staggering under the weight of too much spyware – this might be the one of the best free solutions around.

Other spyware removal programs I have mentioned in the past include Spyware Terminator, SUPERAntiSpyware, Hijack This, and Ad-Aware. All of these programs are very good for protecting your computer from spyware.

The recovery section stores the backups created by the program. You have the option to restore these backup or restore selected items and delete backup files.

The immunize section configures your browser to block potentially harmful stuffs from the web. Harmful stuffs include executable files. Click the immunize button to apply protection to your system.

The updater allows you to search and download updates from localized Spybot database to keep the program up to date to new threats.

If you need to have a quick spyware check of your computer, Spybot is a free option that could solve most of the usual spyware infections.

The best freeware outhere for spyware removal.

I used it in tandem with my old internet security software and it worked well.

Sadly, when I installed Kaspersky Internet Security their technical support advised me to remove Spybot saying its registry checker might interfere with Kaspersky IS own registry checker.
Following their advise I removed Spybot I miss it, though.
