Optimize Windows easily with FreshUI
Posted on May 1, 2008 at 5:11 am
Possibly not known to most end users out there, there are actually many useful and hidden Windows settings that one can use to configure and optimize the Windows operating system. Optimizing Windows allows you to achieve increased Windows performance, remove unwanted / annoying Windows options, protect system settings and more.
However, most of us are easily turned off by the complexity of having to edit the Windows registry, use the unfriendly Administrative Tools, install mind-boggling system tools etc., just for the sake of a system optimization. To make it easier for most of us to optimize Windows, FreshUI is one of the best choices.
FreshUI offers a free, simple solution to configure and optimize a Windows based computer system. With FreshUI, every tweak can be done from a user friendly, graphical user interface. Once installed, FreshUI will automatically save your original Windows system configuration to make sure that you are able to return to it later, if the need arises.
To start optimizing your system, you need to navigate the system optimization settings that are listed in simple categories on the left pane of FreshUI’s interface. Once you have selected a setting to be changed, double click on its related option on the right pane to change it. To play safe, my golden rule is to change one setting at a time and see if it works.

WOw thats a lot of cool features. Will try it right away.
Madhur, yeah it’s a very cool Windows optimizer and tweaker. I don’t know where Syahid finds this stuff, but it’s good!
I’ve had my own *secret* ways. Hehehe. It’s definitely one of the best tool that I’ve found this month.
Looks like a cool software, is it available for Vista?
How does this product differ from TweakUI? Can you use both? If you make a change in FreshUI, will it affect the settings in TweakUI, and vice versa?
Nirmal, it is not designed for Windows Vista, at least from what I read on the site, just Windows XP/2000/NT/ 98/95/Me.
Classact, both programs will let you modify settings, but there can only be one setting value at any given time, so if you change it with one program and then change the same setting with another program, the latest change will be the current value.
Cool! This is way easier than TweakUI
@Haris: Yeah, this one is far much easier. Gotta love the simple interface.
