From above we can see that it doesn’t support bootable disc burning, although it supports a wide array of burning projects. It allows over-burning which is essential if you downloaded AVI movies that exceed the 700Mb size. With drag and drop capability and support for multiple types of projects it rivals the commercial burning tools like Nero. Compared with the burning tool in Windows Explorer, K3B has the upper hand as it has more features and it’s free.

I was playing with the kids and the wife wanted me to copy a DVD she wanted to give to her mom and I told her you do it.
She got to the computer and told her to click on the KDE button and type either dvd or burn in the box, it gave her the program.
She then just read the options and did it by herself (expect for when there was an option called Load).
She’s been using KDE 4.2/4.3 for the past 6-7 months and she managed to burn a dvd copy without even doing it before.
I think we can safely say that KDE4.3 is easy to use.
K3B is up there with Amarok, Gwenview, Digikam as must have programs on the KDE desktop.
Year 2 of our big switch (thanks Vista!) to KDE Linux and every new version makes me realize that we will never go back to Windows again.
