I’ve never had much luck with portable CD and DVD burning software, between crashing and not detecting drives, so I was really pleased to read about the portable version of CDBurnerXP. I’ve been using the installable version on and off for a while, and it does almost everything that paid-for software does, often faster and with less fuss. The only thing it can’t do is to convert video files into a standard video DVD, but I’ve discovered a workaround for this in the form of DVDStyler.
