I’m a big fan of open source software because it’s free and usually has the same functionality as a commercial application with the added benefit that it usually runs faster too! There are tons of free software applications that you can download for office productivity, Internet, multimedia, drawing, Windows utilities, etc, but if you’re not familiar with open source software, you might not know what exactly to download.
