They say pictures are worth a thousand words. This also applies to designing a website. What makes websites more stunning are its images. The Internet has several great photo-sharing resources you can utilize.
However, most of them don’t have HD-quality pictures and some can only be accessed either by registering or paying. If you want thousands of free high definition images without having to sign-up, try IconShock.
This website has more than 50,000 icons and images (free and premium), which users can immediately download. It has a massive collection of free photos (animated and 3D-based), perfect for websites and personal use.

To minimize the file size, all photos are zipped. Tick Save File and press OK to save the zip file in your computer.
Next, extract or unzip the recently saved file.
Depending on the photo collection, all images are grouped into several folders. For this illustration, the collection is clustered into three file types, namely: icns, ico, and png.
Open the ico folder and you will see several icons.
The png folder has all large-sized .png images, which can also be converted back to .ico (through IconShock’s free Icon Coverter Tool found in http://www.iconshock.com/icon_sets ).
