Download software updates, patches, and upgrades with UpdateStar

UpdateStar is a free program that you can use to keep all of the software on your computer update to date, whether it be freeware, shareware, or commercial applications. The program is completely free and works with Windows 2000, XP and Vista. If you’re someone who keeps their operating system up to date with the latest patches and security fixes, you already understand the importance of having the latest software updates.

Stay up-to-date with your software

UpdateStars database includes over 80,000 software products, so you can be confident that anything you have installed will be monitored by UpdateStar. UpdateStar automatically notifies you of updates once they become available.

Personalize your updates

If you don’t want UpdateStar to scan everything on your complete software setup, you can configure it to only provide information for a set of pre-selected programs that you consider important.

Manage programs (add/remove)

UpdateStar can also act as a replacement for the default Windows Add/Remove Control Panel applet. UpdateStar is much faster and provides more detailed information about each software. It can also provide licensing links and special offers for commercial software products.
