I also agree with #2. I prefer to use Handbrake for all my ripping and converting needs. The new version for Mac has well over 1,000 fixes and is a lot faster. It's also great on Windows.

Forgive my over simplification, but here is what I am trying to do. I want to take my library of Music Concert DVDs, rip them to my hard drive. Then I would like to be able to slice portions for publishing on my website in flv format (thanks about the only acronym I know). Can ImTOO do this? is there something better? simpler? Is there something free that's just as good?

[...] They usually are of good quality depending of course on the quality of the ripping software used and the DVD source. Typically they are about 700MB in size so you could burn them to blank CDs and stow. Axxo is one of the most popular submitters of DVDRIPs in the torrent world. Read my previous post on how to rip your own DVDs. [...]

Nice step-by-step tutorial. I acutally use ImTOO and its fantastic. There are plenty of other options, but for ease of use its probably the best.
