I use Advanced System Care v4 the best thing for my computer it just cleans up my registry performs system optimization and makes my computer lightning fast.It is the best Software!!!!!!!

Maybe the best registry cleaner that I found is Abyssal Registry Cleaner. It’s fast, no false positive and it’s free. CCleaner it’s popular, but not really good.

@shah: So you’re saying the LESS a cleaner removes, the better? That doesn’t make sense…that’s like saying the less you do cleaning your house, the better off you are. I trust CCleaner not to remove anything that will crash my system, but I’ve used ToniArts EasyCleaner, Symantec’s Norton registry cleanup, and a few others without having any real problems.

i used many reg cleaner here i m explaining.
initialy i was using ccleaner which was working but not to good on regisrty.
i used uniblue reg cleaner which was showing i have more than thousands un used regisry files.
using EUSING deleted about 600 reg file.
again i scanned with uniblue not it was showing about 463.
but when i tried comodo the nober which was 463 came near about 26.
so in free reg cleaners COMODO IS THE BEST free cleaner.

thanks for the reg cleaner application online FREE … cc cleaner does help – to keep it clean – never watch porn online – you’ll get viruses period. nobody can stop that one!

@Dastagiri: Either you have a virus in your “temp” folder (and your antivirus is trying to delete it on access), or you downloaded a virus with a hacked version of CCleaner. My antivirus (AVG Free 9) has never had a problem with CCleaner, or any other Piriform app. Uninstall the CCleaner you have, get a second opinion with Panda ActiveScan and/or Trend Micro HouseCall, use Trend Micro’s HijackThis to make sure no malware is running at startup (browser hijackers, hidden toolbars, etc.) and re-download CCleaner from ccleaner.com or piriform.com/ccleaner (you can also download the “portable” version of any of their apps so you don’t need to install it).

On running Ccleaner, some applications(I don’t know) tries to install virus on my computer. I have software which blocks the virus and asks me to clean them. Ccleaner must block them otherwise i assume Ccleaner may be installing them.

TUNE UP UTILITIES is the best fix my pc always and it have turbo mode that can access program fast..and it can fix fatal error 000021a by repair wizard..and my pc always run fast i recommend registry cleaner nCleaner always detect the uninstall program and invalid registry…

To say there’s a problem with Ccleaner because they accept no responsibility is ludicrous. Dhow me any freeware that says they’ll repair or replace your pc if their product messes up your machine. Free BSD? fine if you want a server. If Linux is so weak why are windows machines hacked with Linux. I’ll take free OS’s over $150.00 any day(not that I would pay it, when I can install for free (still). If you want to make Gates richer go ahead. There’s nothing you can do with windows you can’t do with Linux. But, vice versa? That’s a different story. Linux Mint, Ubuntu, Debian are all good operating systems.All free, with 1000′s of good free programs (except for these idiots trying to load windows progs with wine. Why? What’s the reason? you can find a Linux based program that will do the same thing. If you’re hopelessly hooked to windoze then stay there. Sellouts. Open Office(compatible with virtually every office suite) is 10x better that MS Office. Afraid of a little command line? Linux is not impervious to viruses but I haven’t had one I’m aware of since I’ve been using it My first was Mint 5. Windows can’t get through a day without having to have a virus blocked. You must work for MS. No problems ever with Ccleaner (plus you can back up all registry changes. Eusing has to run 3-4 times to clean well. I have one Windows machine all else is linux.
Some is virtual (live disks). If I do get a virus it’s gone when the computer is turned off and disk is removed.
I guess we’re all experts though. To each his own. I’ll be damned if I’ll make Gates any richer though.Yes I still work around his OS’s and do free installs. Screw him. But as far as free optimization goes, so far I’ll only vouch for Ccleaner and I’m fairly impressed with Advanced Care,and their IOBits360 free AV. Pandas new free Cloud AV is garbage. I think IOBits will pass Avast, AVG,and Avira before long. Good luck all.

@richard l: CCleaner’s registry cleaner, ToniArt’s EasyCleaner, KarenWare’s Registry Pruner…Granted, with XP and up, cleaning the registry isn’t as necessary as it used to be, but with Win9x or 2K, keeping it slim, error-free, and BACKED UP was a necessity. Getting rid of obsolete keys from uninstalled software is a good thing, especially if you’ve installed/removed lots of programs to try them out.

@Crazee: You’d have to be Crazee to use a Mac Mac Os X is based on BSD Unix, and it has all the weaknesses of Unix (or Linux): No user base except for the fanatics, no developers, outdated tools (Unix harks back to 1971! Linux command-line tools have obsolete names like VIM, GREP, AWK…) For right now, Windows is necessary for lots of day-to-day tasks until Linux netbooks and “net pads” with embedded OSs take over (check out Asus’s “Magic Gate” ROM OS for a look at the way things are headed).
