Hi akishore

I liked wikifortio's layout & simplicity as you mentioned. However, while trying to upload a simple 21MB zip file I got the error message "File Not Registered". So I played around with the name of the file but no luck

Any tips? I'm being optimistic since the posts are old but let's see if someone can help out.

Cheers

A curious feature about Wikifortio is that although there are many upload features, there is no apparent way to delete your file ahead of time once it's uploaded.

David, that is excellent! Thanks very much for the info! I'll be sure to update this post with info about izimi.com.

The only thing about the site is that your computer acts as the file server, so that's a significant difference since your computer has to be on at all time and it will use up some computer resources also.

Appreciate the comment!

Have you seen izimi (izimi.com). Its photo/video/music/doc/anyfile sharing service is totally unlimited (any size, any quantity, any file type), plus there is no need to upload your files to ANY server before they become available, they just sit right there on your own PC and are available for you to embed into other websites in the normal way.

You just right click on any file and izimi instantly gives you a URL, link code (and embed code for embeddable files) which you use just like you were using flickr, photobucket, youtube, yousendit, etc, etc. You can literally make hundreds of files shared in a few seconds, either privately to just your mates or publicly to anyone. Then you can access them from anywhere with just a web browser. Its very cool.
