Has anybody tried Logaholic Web Analytics yet? It combines all the advanced features from Google Analytics but it gives you full control of your statistics and real time reporting. Logaholic's interface is even simpler than the one of Clicky, and you can get a trial of the Self Hosted edition for 30 days: http://www.logaholic.com/wp/trial-download/
The one-time fee to install the software is just $67, no additional monthly costs. :-)

Thanks for the info.
I had problems with Google Analytics. Clicky seems an excellent alternative.

Clicky is the way to go. It misses some key features (imho) like bounce rate and returning vs. new visitors (which google analytics has) BUT its a great web analytics program and its not creepy as google analytics see http://www.blogboing.com/index.php/2007/12/14/google-gonna-find-out-whos-been-naughty-or-nice/

Hmmm... I'm not quite sure what the Hostname graph shows. It does not seem to point to client's host addresses. Must be something different. Looks nice, thought, just not the info I need. This is why I like Clicky. It's pretty basic and simple, but it gives me exactly what I need.

Ohh I see what you are saying. I checked again and I think if you go to Visitors, you then have to click on Network Properties. Under that there is an option called Hostnames.

I've actually not looked at that myself...it has lots of IP addresses and a good number of domain names. Cool!

Map-Overlay is pretty cool; thanks Aseem. However, it still does not show host info for visitors like Clicky does, e.g. some.company.com 5 actions, some.other.company.com 3 actions, etc.

Abhijeet - Yeah Clicky is definitely a cool analytics program. Definitely check it out if you're not already using something.

Alex - I think if you go to Visitors and then Map Overlay, you can see where visitors are coming from in Google Analytics. I've been using Google, but I might use Clicky for a new blog!

I have been using Clicky (AKA PMetrics or Preformance Metrics) with my Blogger account and I love it. I prefer it to Google Analytics (unlike the latter, Clicky gives me easy report on client host names, so I can see where people are coming from; can't figure out how to do it in Google Analytics). I wish I could integrate Clicky with my WordPress blog, but it does not seem like I can (at least not with a free WordPress account).
