Use Fleck to add sticky notes to any web site

If you’re a big sticky note person like I am where you have sticky notes on your computer and sticky notes on your desktop, then you may like Fleck! It’s an interesting service that allows you to add sticky notes to web pages. It’s very simple to use, all you have to do is go to Fleck.com , type in a web site address, and use the toolbar at the bottom of your browser to add sticky notes! Then you can send your annotated page to anyone for viewing!

It’s a great way to collaborate quickly without having to do very much. Of course, it doesn’t have a lot of features that a full-fledged collaboration tool would have such as the ability to make changes in real time with other users or the ability to draw lines, shapes, etc. But if you just want to mark up a page for your own reference or to make a quick point, then this is your tool.

Another cool feature is to download the FireFox or IE extension that allows you to view all of the public sticky notes that have been created for a web page. By default, Fleck makes all stickies public, but you can change that to private using the floating toolbar. Using the extension then, you can basically mark up pages as you browse the web and see your annotations without having to return to the Fleck web site and typing in your URL address.

Once you’re at the Fleck web site, type in the address you want to visit:

Your web page will load in a new window and you’ll see the Fleck toolbar across the bottom. Using the toolbar you can add notes, send your notes to your WordPress blog (the only one supported at the moment), share your notes, and view a history of revisions to any notes.

Currently, the service is quite simple and doesn’t bother you with registration or anything. The interface is clean and very easy to use. And if you love sticky notes everywhere, then go for it! Here’s my blog all stickied up:
