Use FixYa to find solutions to all of your computer/electronic support issues

Have an electronic device from Phillips, Sharp, Magnavox, HP, Canon or some other company that you need some technical support help with? We all know how hard it is sometimes to get good technical support from huge companies, so that’s why someone created FixYa, a site that is born out of the fact that the web site owner could not find any good support information for his printer and digital camera.
The eventual goal of FixYa is to gather support information from all over the web and consolidate it into one place by grabbing documentation from manufacturer’s sites and also through a whole community of live users who can ask experts questions regarding their current technical problems. These solutions are then added to their giant knowledgebase and rated by their own unique grading system to make it easy to find the best solutions.
Another cool feature of FixYa is the Warranty Manager, a personal database of sorts to manage and keep track of all the warranty and support for your home products. Also, by registering your products on their site, they will bring up the contact information for the manufacturer and local repair service providers for you automatically in case you need to get something fixed.
From the home page, you can either start a new search for a product or you can browse the giant list of manufacturers. For example, let’s say you are having a problem with your iPod Nano, go ahead and choose Apple from the left side menu, and choose your model. The first section displays problems that have been solved:

The next section show you which problems have not been solved yet:

You can also click Post a New Problem if none of current questions match your problem. After that, you can find a lot more useful information, such as Manuals & Guides, Tips and Tricks, How To Guides, Manufacturer contact info and the Specifications for the product.

And if you know a few things about electronics and think you can help others, then sign up as an expert and you can earn money for helping people with their problems! You have to first provide 30 solutions and have a rating of 75% of higher before you can start earning money. Once you pass that, then for your first 50 “premium” solutions, you get $3 per solution. 51 to 100 solutions gets you $4. And 101 or above gets your $5. If you solve live chat problems, you can make up to $15 per session!
