Update Microsoft Office 2007
Posted on August 3, 2008 at 5:28 am
Everyone knows the importance of updating your Microsoft operating system. Upgrades, patches, and security fixes are included to keep Windows running smooth and secure. However, many times users forget to update Microsoft’s Office Suite. As with the operating system, updating Office is equally as important. Not only for upgraded features and stability but also security. Here is how to get updates for Office 2007.
Open Word (or any other Office application) Click on the Office Button and select Word Options, then click on Resources.
A list of different resources comes up. It is pretty straight forward, click on the Check for Updates button.
You will then get a Update Wizard which will guide you through the process of gathering and installing your Office Updates. One other thing, you will need to enable ActiveX a couple of times since the wizard uses the IE engine.

Thanks for the quick tip. Is there an Office 2007 service pack that has been released recently? Thanks.
Hi.
I updated my laptop, Lenovo Centrino 2 vPro, 4gig ram.
My Excel keeps using 100% CPU when “doing” something. Anything I can do to fix this?
Regards,
Jaco
Good day!
I would like to inform that I purchased Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007, eight months ago. I installed it and want to update it. However, when clicking the option “check for updates,” it remarks like this: “This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer, please contact your system administrator.” It did not work.
In addition, would it be possible to upgrade this Office 2007 to Office 2010?
Thank you. Advice is truly appreciated.
