Universal phone number - Get one number that rings all of your phones!

Here’s something really cool that I just read about off O’Reilly about a new service from a company called GrandCentral where you can get one phone number that will ring all of your phones at once, whether it be cell phone, office, home, VOIP, etc!

This uninumber will basically render all your other number useless! Give out this one number to everyone and whenever someone wants to track you down, they call one number and it will ring all the numbers you decided to setup with your uninumber!

Here are some other cool features of this new service:

1. You can record a custom greeting for each caller in your address book

2. You can transfer or switch to another phone while in the middle of a call (so if you pick up at home and need to leave, you can switch it to your cell and continue on)

3. You can check your voicemail from phone or the web. You can even forward it to your email address. And there are no time limits for voicemail, so you can keep them as long as you want.

4. You can upload MP3’s and make them into your ring tones so a caller will instead hear your music rather than a normal ringing sound.

5. You can listen in on a call while someone is leaving a message and decide whether or not to pickup the phone, just like your home phone!

6. You can record any of your calls by pressing one button during the call.

7. And best of all, they have phone SPAM filters which will block telemarketers from calling you on your uninumber!

This looks like a very promising service for individuals and businesses alike! It could turn out to be a very cool social networking tool also because it’ll making keeping in contact with friends and family very easy.
