Travel through Prague, Venice, Los Angles and the world in virtual reality on 360 Cities

360 Cities is a awesome blend of Google Maps and Google Earth that lets your browse some of the world’s largest and most famous cities, such as Prague, Moscow, and Los Angles in 360 degree panoramic views of hotels, restaurants, landmarks, clubs, shops, etc.
Once you choose a city, the map of the city loads up with red numbered circles to denote the locations that have pictures. For Prague, there are over 800 high-resolution panoramic pictures of roughly 450 locations. It’s the most complete set of high quality pictures of the city you’ll ever get. Along with that, once you click on a location, you can view the 360 view at the top right and the bottom right fills with information about that particular site, including a brief history and nearby locations.
And if you know the city a little bit, you can even choose the neighborhood to zoom in on the attractions for that part of town. This site is a really an amazing way to explore European cities and judging by the fact that Los Angles is in there, we might see a whole lot more of the US soon. It’s a really great way to find things to do also because the site lists not only landmarks, but historical events and festivals.

Here’s a video that I made showing off the panoramic virtual tour of a boat ride in Venice! Use the Cntrl and Shift keys to zoom in and out (on the 360 site, not for the YouTube video).
I know there are some other sites out there that have virtual city tours, so if you know of a good one, please post a comment!
