hi,
i run this gpedit.msc once and limit the QOS Packet Scheduler to 0%. then i formatted my pc and when i tried this again i cant even find network under Administrative Templates. please help me…

this is crap. 1st trick is OK, rest is crap.
and mind u no matter what u do, u wont get download speed = total bandwidth/8

so if u have a 64Kbps net then no matter what u do , u get 64/8 = 8 kbps. and u wont get anything >8

so if u think u will get around 10 or 12 then its ONLY IN DREAMS.

Hey please help me, I TYPED in the run box gpedit.msc and went to the administrative templates in the computer configuration, but there is no “Network’ ! there is only Windows Components.!! And i am using windows xp professional and I am a computer administrator. Why is this happening, and also my connection is cable.

if u use vista go to network and sharing center and type ”edit group policy” in the the search box on the top right corner and u will find it. it didn’t work for me though but u can try and hopefully it will work!!!

I tried this using gpedit.msc….Under COMPUTER CONFIG…..under ADMIN TEMPLATES…there is NO Network/QOS Packet Scheduler on the left pane. I’m using WinXP Media and a wireless router!

im using windows xp home edition, when i type in gpedit.msc, it says it cannot find it. Is there any way i go directly to Group Policy Editor or is there a way i can get to were it is taking me without using the run dialog?

For all you idiots out there whining about internet speed there is a difference between what many ISPs claim to provide and what you get thing is you might have 64 KILOBITS per second, but you get 8 KILOBYTE per second, which is the same thing 64 Kbps / 8 (number of bits in a byte) = 8 KBps make note of the capital B, i hope i have enlightened some of you atleast.
