Wouldn’t it be nice if you could listen to your favorite iTunes music without needing to carry around your iPod? You spent so much time creating playlists, albums, etc, but you’re either stuck to your one computer or to one device at all times. Well with a new online service called nuTsie, you can listen to your iTunes online from anywhere including your mobile phone or share your songs with friends.
The concept behind the service is pretty simply: export the list of songs from iTunes, create an account on nuTsie and import the file, and play the songs from your web browser or from your mobile phone. The thing to understand is that the actual songs are not transferred, just the META data (the information that describes each song, i.e. Title, Singer, etc). Once the list of songs is uploaded to the nuTsie servers and you want to play a particular song, it simply looks up the song in it’s database and plays it.
To get started, go ahead and sign up for a free account and then go to iTunes and export your library (not export by itself) to an XML file.
Now on the nuTsie web site, go ahead and browse for that file on your computer to upload it. Now you can listen to your iTunes playlist by logging into the web site from anywhere. You can also browse the playlists of everyone else and add their songs to your favorites. The more fun feature of nuTsie, however, is the fact that you can download their mobile phone application and listen to all of your songs on your phone for free!
Simply enter your mobile number on the web site and they send you a text message with the link. Currently, there are about 14 phones that the service supports including the Motorola Razr, Nokia N73, and the Samsung A717 to name a few. Of course, these are the phones they have tested and know work for sure, but other may work if tried out.

Also, the mobile feature only works on ATT (Cingular) or T-Mobile networks right now because those are the only two companies that allow third-party applications to downloaded to the phones. Also, you’re going to be using the carrier’s data lines, so only use this service if you have an unlimited data plan or keep track of how much data you are using before you go over your limit.
Eventually, they plan to make the service work with music players other than iTunes. So if you’re a big iTunes user, this could be a really cool and useful service for a lot of people!
