Record videos online using Nimbb

Posted on December 23, 2008 at 5:34 am

Previously, I wrote a post on how to record a video of yourself online using a webcam and a website called Flixn. The only problem is that in the Flixn has now phased out there free online recording service! I hate when companies do that!

So are there any other services out there where you can record short video messages of yourself and share them with others? Yes! And actually, quite a few! I’ll mention all the other sites that I found where you can record video online, but first I’ll talk about a site that I’ve used myself which is simple and easy.

Nimbb is a super straight-forward web service that detects your web camera and lets you start recording short 30 second long video messages that you can then share with anyone via a link.

Allow access to your webcam from Nimbb and you’re ready to go! There are only 3 buttons, so anyone can use this, not matter how little you know about computers. Press the Record button and you have 30 seconds of recording time available.

Once you are done, you can press Play to review the recorded video or you can press Save to get a URL link to your video. You can then share this link via email or IM.

And that’s really it. Of course, if you need more feature, such as long recording times, privacy options, embedding support, etc, then this is not the service for you. However, if you want to create and share video messages quickly, then Nimbb is great!

There are many other online video recording services that I found when searching, so check these out and let us know your favorite:

I’m sure there are more, but hopefully the above-mentioned will get you back to being able to record video message using your webcam for free! Enjoy! Source: MakeUseOf
